Bangabondhu Tunnel
The Bangabondhu Tunnel, also known as the Karnaphuli Tunnel, is an important infrastructure project in Bangladesh. It is an underwater tunnel located under the Karnaphuli river which connects Chittagong city with Anwara upazila. The tunnel is named after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founder of Bangladesh. This is the country's first underwater tunnel and South Asia's first under-river road tunnel, which was inaugurated on October 28, 2023 by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Bangabondhu Tunnel has greatly improved transport connectivity in the region, reducing traffic congestion and travel time between Chittagong and Anwara. It provided an important link for both commercial and passenger vehicles, increased trade and facilitated the movement of goods and people. The tunnel represents a milestone in the country's transport infrastructure, opening up new opportunities for economic growth and development in the region. বঙ্গবন্ধু টানেল
বঙ্গবন্ধু টানেল, যা কর্ণফুলী টানেল নামেও পরিচিত, বাংলাদেশের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবকাঠামো প্রকল্প। এটি কর্ণফুলী নদীর তলদেশে অবস্থিত একটি আন্ডারওয়াটার টানেল যা চট্টগ্রাম শহরকে আনোয়ারা উপজেলার সাথে সংযুক্ত করেছে। টানেলের নামকরণ করা হয়েছে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের নামে। এটি হচ্ছে দেশের প্রথম আন্ডারওয়াটার টানেল এবং দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার প্রথম আন্ডার-রিভার রোড টানেল, যা গত ২৮শে অক্টোবর ২০২৩ মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা কর্তৃক উদ্বোধন করা হয় । বঙ্গবন্ধু টানেল এই অঞ্চলে পরিবহন সংযোগের ব্যাপক উন্নতি করেছে, যা চট্টগ্রাম ও আনোয়ারার মধ্যে যানজট এবং ভ্রমণের সময় কমিয়েছে। এটি বাণিজ্যিক এবং যাত্রীবাহী উভয় যানবাহনের জন্য একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সংযোগ প্রদান করেছে, বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধি করেছে এবং পণ্য ও মানুষের চলাচল সহজতর করেছে। টানেলটি দেশের পরিবহন অবকাঠামোর একটি মাইলফলক প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে, এই অঞ্চলে অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি ও উন্নয়নের নতুন সুযোগ উন্মোচন করেছে। বঙ্গবন্ধু টানেল এ অঞ্চলে অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি ও উন্নয়নকে উৎসাহিত করার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। এটি বিনিয়োগ, বাণিজ্য সম্প্রসারণ এবং কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টির সুযোগ উন্মুক্ত করে, যা এলাকার সামগ্রিক আর্থ-সামাজিক অগ্রগতিতে অবদান রাখে। এটি পর্যটন সম্ভাবনা বাড়ায়, দর্শনার্থীদের আকর্ষণ করে এবং স্থানীয় পর্যটন শিল্পকে উদ্দীপিত করে। এটি মিথস্ক্রিয়া, সহযোগিতা এবং ভাগ করা অভিজ্ঞতাকে সহজতর করে, সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে একতা এবং বোঝাপড়ার বোধ জাগিয়ে তোলে। টানেলটি বাজারের প্রবেশাধিকার উন্নত করে এবং কৃষি পণ্যের পরিবহন বৃদ্ধি করে গ্রামীণ জনগোষ্ঠীকে উপকৃত করে। এটি আনোয়ারা উপজেলার কৃষক ও উৎপাদকদের চট্টগ্রামের বৃহত্তর বাজারে আরও সহজে পৌঁছাতে সক্ষম করে, যার ফলে কৃষি বৃদ্ধি এবং গ্রামীণ উন্নয়ন হয়। টানেলটি আনোয়ারা উপজেলায় সুবিধাজনক প্রবেশাধিকার প্রদান করে, যেখানে বেশ কয়েকটি শিল্প অঞ্চল এবং অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল রয়েছে। এটি বিনিয়োগ আকর্ষণ করে, শিল্প বৃদ্ধিকে উৎসাহিত করে এবং এলাকায় কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করে, যা এই অঞ্চলের সামগ্রিক অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নে অবদান রাখে।
